WORKER KILLED INSTANTLY. Auckland, May 1. it fatal accident occurred this mo .ruing at the new railway shops in course of erection at Otahuhu, M.r. Hugh M. Smith, of One Tree I fill, being killed through falling ' from the roof of one of the buildings. Mr. Smith was married, and had two children. He was commencing his first day’s work on the building.. When on the roof of the building deceased lost his balance and fell through a skylight 27ft. on to a concrete floor. Ho sustained a fracture of the skull and injuries to the right knee and hip, being - killed instantaneously.
