Miss Low, of Wanganui, is a visitor to Foxton: Miss Bessie Speirs is on a holiday visit to Invercargill.

Miss J. Ross, is spending a holiday in the South Island. Dr. and Mrs. Shore, of Wellington, paid a brief visit to Foxton during the week-end. Mrs D. R, Ban'on has accepted the position of hon. secretary of the Plunket Society, vice Mrs. McMurray resigned. There has been quite an exodus of prominent citizens from Foxton recently. We now learn that Mr. and Mrs. Yeo are shortly to take thqW departure from fcur midst. We understand that Mr. Yeo will take up his residence in Marton.
