Bebe Daniels has been a good swimmer for a long time. . To-day she is knocking at the doors reserved for the champions. It all * came about when Gertrude Ederle, the first woman to swim the English Channel, came to Hollywood to ' start her first motion picture work, which was an important role with Miss Daniels in the Paramount star’s latest comedy, “Swim, Girl, Swim,” which will be at the Town Hall cabaret on Wednesday. In the production “Trudy” acts as Miss Daniel’s coach. She aiso took the star in hand for one week, and did A| some real coaching at one of the neighbouring beaches. ROYAL. Splashing mud in the face of a girl may not be a first-class way to obtain an introductibn, but it sometimes works. That’s the way Colleen Moore and Donald Reed, Hollywood’s newest and one of its handsomest, leading men, the heroine and hero of the Royal’s Wednesday attraction, “Naughty But Nice,” are brought together. The filming of this scene in Miss Moore’s , newest First National starring picture was accomplished after ,'some diffijeulty, and Miss Moore changed dresses three times before the scene was made to the entire, satisfaction of director Millard Webb. Other supporting players in. this comedy, which has an exclusive Eastern finishing school as the locale of some of the story, include Claude Gillingwater, Hallam Cooley, Kathryn McGuire, Edythe Chapman and Clarissa Selwynne, Prices, Is everywhere, children half-price.
