FOXTON BOY SCOUTS.
The Foxton Troop sent a patrol of 'Scouts to the Caledonian sports at Palmerston N. yesterday to compete for the Muuro Shield. It was their first attempt and they put up an excellent tight for the shield, coming second place. Scoutmasters Warwick and Walton took the boys to Palmerston, and they thoroughly enjoyed the day. Many tips for guidance in future competitions were gained, and Foxton will go after the shield next year. Mr Warwick is to be complimented on the work of the boys. ■The following are the number of points gained, by each troop: — Marton 28£, Foxton 22|, Central A 21 (last year’s winners), Woodville 20i, Wj'est End 19J, Central B 19, Te Awe Awe 17£.
