TROUBLE IN WAIKATO DIOCESE.
CANON SUSPENDED BY BISHOP.
Hamilton, April 9. Canon Harvie has been suspended by Bishop Cherrington, of Waikato, from the position of canon of St. Peter’s Cathedral. Canon Harvie states that he felt it his duty to oppose the Bishop, but declines to disclose the nature of the dispute. Canon Harvie retains the office of diocesan secretary.
