SUDDEN DEATH ON TENNIS COURT.

"EX-FOXTON RESIDENT. Hawera, April 2, Wjhen playing in the final of the Hawera Tennis Club’s championship doubles on Saturday, J. M. Collins, aged 50 years, collapsed during a rally and died within a few minutes. Deceased" had been one of the leading local players and was formerly the club president for several years. The late Mr Collins was wellknown in this district, having spent many years as an accountant in Palmerston N before removing to Hawera to take over an engineering establishment. He was a son of the late Mr James Collins, who at one time was engaged in flaxmilling at Foxton.
