PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
There were large congregations at. both morning and evening services at the Presbyterian Church on Sunday, on the occasion of harvest thanksgiving and golden offering. There was a varied and artistic dispay of fruit, , vegetables, etc. The morning service was conducted by Mr Nicholas and in. the evening the Rev. G. T. Brown, M.A., of St. Andrew’s, Palmerston North, conducted the service. The sermons and praise were appropriate to the occasion. Mr D. R. Barron sang the “Blind Ploughman” during .the offertory at the evening service. The golden offering totalled up* wards of £56, with certain sums yet to come in. Last evening the gifts were sold which will add to the thanks offering. :
