ANNUAL MEETING OF ASSOCIATION.

The annual meeting of the Manawatu Football Association was held in Palmerston North last evening, presided over by Mr. J. C. Young. Also present were Messrs, J. Dick (St. Andrew’s), B. Hinds (Foxton), G. Travers (Athletic), E. Kempson (Primary), J. Gardner (R.S.A.), and T. R. Lees (Flock House). ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The election of officers for the forthcoming year resulted as follows: —Patron: Mr. P. G. Mildon; president: Mr. A. J. Graham; vicepresidents : Messrs D. F. Smillie, H. Crouch, E. Kempson, B. Hinds, C. Anderson, T. R. Lees; management committee: Messrs J. C. Young, T. R. Lees, J. S. Radford, T. West, W. F. Durward; treasurer! Mr. H. J. Simmonds; delegate to the N.Z. Council: Mr. J. C. Young; auditor: Mr. W> K. Prince; trustees: Messrs W. F. Durward and J. Davidson,

Mr. J. Gardner brought up the que'tsion of (Flock House teams playing home and away matches. The opinion of two delegates was that the visits of town teams to Flock House constituted a financial burden. Mr. T. R. Lees stated that, although it would be enjoyable for the Flock House boys to come to tows, once in a round, this would be against the rules of the House. It was accordingly resolved that it be a recommendation to the Trustees of Flock House, that the boys of the Flock House football teams be permitted to visit Palmerston North or Foxton once in each round.

It was resolved to recommend the management committee that at the Winter Show, the representative game between Wellington and Manawatu be resusciated and also that the St. Patrick’s College versus Palmerston Nortli Boys’ High School game be revived. A further recommendation to the management committee was that that body appoint a sole selector at its next meeting. ,

Votes of thanks were passed to Messrs F. Coombs, last year’s bon. auditor, and D. F. Smillie, retiring secretary, for their work during the past season.
