FOXTON DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL.

OFFICIAL OPENING ON WEDNESDAY.

The opening ceremony of the Foxton District High School building will take place at 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday next. The ceremony will he performed by the Hon. It. A. Wright, Minister of Education. Others who will take part in the proceedings will be the Chairman of the Wanganui Education Board (Mr. Collins), Messrs J. Linklater and J. A. Nash M.P’s., (the latter an ex-pupil of the school), the Mayor (Mr. Perreau), Mr. Hone McMillan (who* will formally hand over the deeds of the land on behalf of the Maori donors of the land), and Board members and head master (Mr. F. A. Mason). ■ The High School Committee extend a cordial invitation to the parents of pupils, ex-pupils and the public to be present. After the ceremony the Minister will be entertained at afternoon tea by the teaching staff, pupils of the High School and Committee. After the opening ceremony the building will be thrown open for public inspection.
