DAIRY PRODUCE PACKING IN VACUUM.

SHIPMENT FROM TARANAKI.

A consignment of 300 crates of cheese and 100 boxes of butted from Taranaki enclosed in vacuum containers was taken by the ShawiSavil liner Mabaroa which left for London on Sunday. This consignment is the first of future regiilai shipments and will blaze the trail ■ for future vacuumising of dairy Mr. G. H. Buckeridge left Haproduce carried out at Hawera. wera on Monday for England to bring the produce before the notice of the trade in Great Britain. The consignment consists of twen-ty-five crates of cheese from each of the four Hawera dairy company factories, 100 from Eltham, and 50 each from two other companies. One hundred containers, each containing about 801 b. of butter, are included.
