GOLDEN WEDDING.

ROBINSON—RAE 1878-1928. An event of wide-spread and local interest was celebrated yesterday, the occasion being the fiftieth anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Robinson, of “Pikotuku,” Beach Road, Foxton. Relatives and old friends to the number of fifty, were entertained at afternoon tea at the residence of the happy couple, where the recep- » tion was held. The large living and drawing rooms of the home were thrown into one and were beautifully decorated with magnificent flowers, yellow being the predominating colour, whilst the centre of the Well-spread table was adorned by a handsome cake, bespangled with golden favours. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson were the recipients of many congratulatory messages and handsome presents! and the assembled guests joined in drinking the health of Mr. and Mrs. < Robinson, and in wishing them many golden years of continued happiness and felicity. It is interesting to recall that the wedding, which took place on March sth, 1878, was the second wedding to be celebrated in the local All Saints’ Anglican Church, the officiating clergyman being Rev. F. Sheriff, and also to note that among the guests present at yesterday’s reception were Mr. and Mrs. Kebbell, of Levin, who a'cted as best man and bridesmaid respectively, and Mrs. Richler and Mrs. William Robinson, both of whom also attended Mrs. Robinson as bridesmaids. All the surviving members of Mr. and Mrs. Robinson’s immediate family were also present in the persons of their six daughters, Mrs. K. C. White, of Te Mahanga, Hawke’s Bay, Mrs. A. E. Flower, of Christchurch, Mrs. C. S. Robertson, of Wellington, Mrs. F. A. Mason, Miss F. M. Robinson, and Miss A. G. Robinson all of Foxton.
