MOTOR CYCLING.

GRASS TRAjCK RECORDS BROKEN. Auckland, Yesterday. The Auckland Motorcycle Rac-. ing Club’s sports were held at Devonport on Saturday. A few spills while spectacular were in no way of a serious nature.

Some world’s grass track records were shattered. The world’s grass track record for 21 h.p. machines was broken by C. Goodwin registering 51 4-5 seconds. Cyril Walker then compassed the track once on his Rex Acme in 50 4-5 seconds, so he is the new record holder. Later in the afternoon Percy Coleman, the Dominion’s veteran racing cyclist, succeeded in lowering his own world’s grass track record for one mile on high-powered machines by a fifth of a second. His new time was 46 4-5 seconds. Arnott, Coleman’s rival, made an attempt but he took 49 2-5 seconds.
