WILFUL DAMAGE.
Vn ECHO OF NEW YEARS’ EVE.
At the local S.M. Court yesterday, before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., P. .Lundquist was charged by the Police with wilfully damaging two panes of glass of a building in Whyte Street on January Ist, 1928.
In evidence Constable Bell said that at 2.15 a.m. on Ist January, he noticed accused walk around tha hack of Whyte’s Hotel and deliberately put his fist through two panes of glass. He was pretending to be under the influence of liquor.
Accused was convicted and fined £1 with costs 10/-, and ordered to make good the damage done.
