The fact that he had too many drinks.yesterday was the reason given by Oscar Edward Solyin, master mariner, for knocking clown Thomas Coltman, proprietor of the Grand Hotel. It was stated ■ in. Court that when Solvin took s no notice of the porter, who went to warn him that he had little time to catch the boat, Coltman himself went to Solvin’s room with the information. Solvin knocked him down and stood over him in ja threatening attitude. Coltman had to obtain medical attention, and his suit was. also damaged.

Solvin was fined £3, of which half was to go to Coltman. He was also ordered to pay £3 3s.medical expenses.
