RACING

The Summer meeting of the Manawatii Racing Club was brought to a conclusion on Thursday', conditions for racing being again ideal. ■The totalisator showed an increase over the corresponding day of last year, £35,147 being handled, against £31,936 for 1926. The total amount put through at the meeting was £131,627, which, when compared with last year, is an increase of £12,287. Results: — Tiritea Hurdles Handicap:—Red Fuchsia 1, Hymgrcat 2, Kilburn 3. Won by two lengths. Time 3.11 4-5. Apprentices’ Handicap: — Miss Pat (Mr. F. J. Carmont’s) 1, Lin Arlington 2, OBarryanda 3. Won by half a length. Time 1.27 4-5. Juvenile Handicap:—Concentrate 1, Briar Root 2, Moutoa Treasury (Mr. F. S. Easton’s) 3. Won by half a length. Time 1.2 1-5. Liverpool Handicap:—Oratrix 1, Lady Lirnond (Mr. R. Heppner’s) 2, Damaris 3. Won by a head. Time 1.52. Westbury Handicap:— Broad Acre 1, Keddar 2, Carrigallen 3. Won by one length and a-half. Time 1.14 4-5. iClandeboye Handicap:—Stormy 1 Assurance 2, Polar 3. Won by a head. Time 1.47. Christmas Handicap:—Henna 1, Cool Card 2, Capitulation 3. Won by half a length. Time 1.27 1-5.
