INFANTILE PARALYSIS.

DOCTOR’S OBSERVATIONS,

Wellington, December 14. A warning issued by one of Wellington’s leading practitioners is highly significant. During the past fortnight there has been an outbreak of herpes, which produces sores about the mouth and has been observed to precede infantile paralysis in the past. Infantile paralysis visits the Dominion at four year intervals, with varying severity, and always at summer-time. Care of children during the next few weeks is urged upon parents, since it is now about four years since the last outbreak.
