Tin* friends of Mrs. George Hough, of Purcell Street, will regret to learn that she was taken seriously ill last night. The death took place at Tokomu ru on Saturday of Mr . James Taylor Whyte, aged 54 years. The late Mr Whyte was unmarried and was a brother of Mrs. W. E. Barber. of Foxton. Deceased was born and resided for some years in Fox'o:i. yd or in taking up his residence with his brother at Tokomaru. Deceased took a keen interest in and was one of the first members of the local Horticultural Society. The interment took place yesterday at the Kelvin Grove (Palmerston North) Cemetery.
