Mr. .J. Death, of “Purcell Street, returned home from the Palmerston North Hospital on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. H. Leaver and family left for Sydney on Thursday, where Mr. Leaver has obtained a position in the ferry service. Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Hornblow left for Christchurch yesterday, where Mr. Hornblow will attend the annual communication of the Masonic Grand Lodge. Mr. L. F. de Berry, M.A., headmaster of the Palmerston North Central School, has been appointed headmaster of the Dunedin Normal School. Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Finlayson, of Levin, recently celebrated their golden wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Finlayson' came to New Zealand 41 years ago, and have resided in Levin for |he past 25 years. Mrs. M. Melton, of Foxton, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Finlayson.
