BOWLING.
Yesterday afternoon there was a good attendance of players at the local green. The sward was not in good order for play, but nevertheless considerable interest was taken « in the games in view of the selection-, of eight players for the first round of the Triangular contest at Levin next week. > The following are the rinks chosen by the . selection committee to represent Foxton at Levin on Wednesday:— Huntley, Bryant, Woods, Nye (s). Mattar, Barr, Heyes, Thomson (s). Emergencies: Newth, Walker, Pearson, Walton. The foregoing rinks are asked to meet at the green for practice this evening, at 6 o’clock, and following evenings as weather permits.
