CROQUET NOTES.
Yesterday afternoon the competition games “cut off breaks” and “corner shots to peg,” were played and caused much amusement. No player made a very high score, but all enjoyed the change of games. On Tuesday last, 22nd November, Mrs. Pearson (6 bisques), defeated Mrs. Bi'yant (8J bisques) 26—9, and Mrs. Owen (5 bisques)j defeated Mrs. Parkes (6 bisques) 26—10, in the handicap singles tournament games. To-day a team consisting of Mesdames MeMurray (4 bisques), Woods (4| bisques), Owen (5 bisques), and Pearson (6 bisques), journeyed to Palmerston North to take part in the first of the Interclub matches which are being held on the Terrace ,End green. They wjfl meet the following ladies from the jN or them Club: Mesdames Mayes (3J bisques), Boyne (5£ bisques), Thornley (5J bisques), Tapp (6 bisques), McLeod (4£ bisques), and Hodgson (6$ bisques).
