FOXTON AMATEUR CYCLING CLUB.
COMMITTEE MEETING. A committee meeting of the Foxton Amateur Cycling,Club was held in. Little’s shop last night, presided over by the chairman (Mr. H. Hutchins). Also present were Messrs G. F. Smith, A. East, W. B. Brown, P. Little, J. Desmond and the secretary (Mr. R. Desjardines). It was decided that the subscription list for points prizes be closed and the money in hand be handed over to the social committee. The Borough Council wrote granting the club permission to construct a cycle track on • Easton Park when the necessary funds were in hand to carry same out. — Received, a vote of thanks being accorded the Council. The question of handicapping was dealt with at some length and a new system decided on. HANDICAPS FOR TO-MORROW. The following are the handicaps for to-morrow’s five miles cycle road race: —E. Robinson, B. Chrystall scr., P. Honour, W. Marshall, H. Huff 12 sec., L. King 16 sec., C. Newson, W. Wjright, C. Huff 20 see., G. Coley, E. Coley, H. Newson 30 sec., J. Satherley, C. Anderson 40 sec., J; Francis, B. Chalk 45 see., Hirini, R. Chrystall 55 sec., Sharpe, C. Williams 65 sec. The competitors are riding for points prizes, and as the issue is very open an exceptionally keen contest can confidently be looked for.
