PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

A special children’s service was held on Sunday morning in connection with the “Youth of the Church Day,” and a large number of children were present. The hymns were selected from the Sunday school hymnal, and were well sung by the young folk. A special address on “Gifts,” was given by Mr. Nicholas. At the close of the service the prizes won by the scholars in the recent Assembly Sunday School examinations were presented to the successful scholars as follows: — iSection E. —J. T. Tollison, M. Symons; section D.: 2nd prize, Elsie Rout, 3rd prize, Joyce Shaw; section C.: Ist prize,'Ula Thomson, 2nd prize, Lexie Tollison; section 8.. 3rd prize, lan Nicholas. It is to 1 ' be noticed that these prizes were won in competition with all the schools in the Wanganui Presbytery.
