Perreau), said that he had been approached by members of the local Plunket Society with a request that that body be granted permission to convert portion of the old bandroom into Plunket rooms. The request, he said, was quite unofficial, and he suggested ! that the Clerk, Mr. D. Christie and himself, as members of the advisory committee, wait on the Plunket Society at its next meeting and ascertain exactly what was wanted. Cr. Rand said that as far as the hand was concerned there was plenty of room for both bodies .in the building. Councillors were of opinion that permission should be granted the 'Society to use the room.
