PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting of the committee of the above was held in the Plunket Office on Monday afternoon. Those present were Mesdames Trueman (in the chair), C. A. Pearson, D. Christie, D. R. Barron, M. B. Bergin, C. Edwards and R. MeMuiway (hon. secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames F. Robinson, A. Ross, R. Moore, A. Baker and F. Procter. The Nurse’s monthly report showed visits to Foxton 4, Nurse’s visits to homes 6, adults to office 79, babies 74, older children 3G, a total of 189. New cases 2, registration letters posted G, letters received and answered 2. The report was adopted. The amount of £3 4s lOd was received from Mrs C. A. Pearson’s group, making the total received from this group £l2 Is lOd. Accounts amounting to £3O 4s 2d were passed for payment. Proceeds from Mr I. Corn’s weighing machine 9s 9d. Office box contributions 17s 6d were received. Messdames Trueman and Bergin were appointed visitors, and Mrs Trueman 'flower steward, for the month. Mrs Proctor’s group will hold a shop day on Saturday next, when home-made cakes will be a specialty
