DRUNKEN MOTORIST.
Christchurch, Yesterday. David Evans, alias Mr. M’Kay, was charged to-day with being drunk while in charge of a motorcar, and was sentenced to one month’s hard labour. His license was cancelled, and he was prohibit ted from obtaining another for five years. The police said that this was the second offence of the kind by the accused. “You ar ! e not going to drive again for a few years,” said the Magistrate, Mr. E. D. Mosley.
