PROPRIETOR FINED £25. , Hawera, Last Night. Edward William Joseph Frost, tobacconist, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court, and was fined £25 on a charge of keeping a common gaming house. Other charges of book-making and betting, at totalisator odds were withdrawn. The police stated that defendant acted as agent for a bookmaker formerly operating in : Wanganui.
