DISSATISFACTION WITH GRADING STANDARDS. ' millers Will confer with DEPARTMENT. The flaxmilling industry is passing through a somewhat difficult period. Values have declined in sympathy with Mexican sisal, and, in addition, buyers are hard to find. The flaxmillers’ chief difficulty, however, is to produce hemp satisfactory to the Government, graders. It, is contended by millers that the grading standard has recently been tightened up. In support of this assertion they quote the Dominion grading statistics for September, 1926, and September, 1927.
