CHURCH SERVICES.

PiOPOSED TO BROADCAST. Christchurch, October 15. That the Church of England should establish a radio broadcasting station in Chrstehurch for the disseminating of church services was a proposal placed before the Christchurch Diocesan Synod last night. The synod referred the matter to the standing committee with power to appoint an external committee. Bishop West-Watson said that wireless had come to stay, and by establishing a station the church woull only be working in with the people. They should not adopt the attitude that was taken up when the steam engines were introduced.
