FOXTON TENNIS CLUB.

OFFICIALLY OPENED. *

Inclement weather conditions prevented any ceremony in connection with the opening of the local Tennis Club courts on Saturday, but they were ‘formally declared open for play by the President (Mr. R. McMurray). One or two enthusiasts indulged in a. game, but the men spent most of the afternoon marking out and mowing the courts. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies present.
