PERSONAL.

The death occurred,at the Motuiti pah on Saturday of Paora Taharuku, aged 72 years. The late Paora Taharuku, was well-known locally, having been a resident of Motuiti for many years. He leaves a wife, but no family. Davy Paul, who met with a fatal accident a few months ago,' was an adopted son of deceased. The funeral ceremony will take place at the Motuiti cemetery to-morrow afternoon.

The death occurred at Palmerston Noitth on Thursday of Mr. J. Adolph Anderson. Deceased was born in Sweden in 1867, coming to New Zealand in 1871. The late Mr. Anderson settled near Whakaronga and was later connected with sawmilling and farming in the coastal and Main Trunk districts. He is survived by a family of live—Mrs. Bartle (Turangarere), Kenneth Anderson (Mangaweka), Edward (Karori), Leonard and William (Taihape).
