DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The ordinary meeting of the Foxton District High School Committee was held last night and was presided over by Mr. J. Iv. Hornblow. There were also present: Messrs Rangiheuea. (secretary), Alsop, M. E. Perreau, G. Huntley, John Ross, and A. W. Stevenson.
Routine correspondence from the Board was read and received.
A vote of sympathy was passed to the headmaster (Mr. F. A. Mason) in his recent illness. Reports in reference to work carried out to the grounds were received, and accounts passed for payment.
Mr. Alsop suggested that the committee should link up with the Palmerston School Committees Association. A general discussion en-/ sued but no action was taken.
It was reported that all arrangements were in hand for the holding of a school concert next month. The chairman reported upon matters in, connection with the construction of the High School building and levelling of the site.
