Mr. J. Link-later, M.P., who was in Forton yesterday, is we are pleased to report, making a satisfactory recovery from his recent indisposition. The friends of Mrs. R. Owen, will regret to learn that she is an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital. Miss E. Owen, of the Wellington Hospital, is also off duty as a result of an indisposition. The friends of Mr. R. Chaffey, will regret to learn that he is an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital, where his condition is considered to be serious. The death occurred at Otaki on Friday of Mr Thomas Cootes, son of Mrs J. Cootes, of Rangiuru. The deceased was born in Otaki 66 years ago, and lived practically all his life there. He leaves a wife and grown-up family to mourn their loss.
