PERSONAL.
AYe regret to report that Mrs. dagger, wife of Mr. A. Jagger, of Foxton, who entered a private,hospital at Palmerston North about a fortnight ago with pneumonia, is reported to be in a critical condition this morning.
The funeral of 'the late Mr. P. W. Brown took place on Thursday afternoon and was attended by a large number of mourners. Services at the house and graveside were conducted by Colonel Carmichael, of Palmerston North, assisted by Brigadier Macauley, of Wellington. The combined Salvation Army and Silver Band was in attendance. The casket was covered with beautiful floral tributes.
Mr. \Y. Adams, of AVanganui, and an ex-master of the local school was a visitor to Foxton yesterday. Although Mr. Adams has retired from teaching profession he continues to take an active part in educational affairs as a member of the AVanganui Education Board and Board of Governors of the nui Girls’ College. The object of Mr. Adams’ visit was to pay his tribute of respect to the memory of the late Mr. A. S. Easton, whose funeral he attended,
