The death occurred at the Motuiti pah on Sunday of the sex-year-old daughter of Air and Mrs Mete Aloses.

At a meeting of the Otago Hospital Board on Thursday last, the resignation of Dr. Piekcrill, as surgeon in charge of the facial and jaw department, was accepted with regret. Reference was made to Dr. Pickerill’s nineteen years’ association with the hospital as honorary denial surgeon, as honorary surgeon in charge of the facial and jaw department, and to the. brilliant plastic surgery work carried out by him during the Great AVar and since. In Dunedin Dr. Pickerill’s work would he gratefully remembered, and the new dental school stood as a monument for all time to his energy. Dr. Piekcrill will leave shortly to take up his residence in Sydney.
