LIBEL ACTION FAILS

Auckland, Yesterday

The libel action brought by Morton Aid is, formerly secretary to the Jubilee Institute for the Blind, against the “Sun” newspaper for £3OO damages and costs terminated to-day when Mr. Justice Reed delivered his judgment: “On the whole I am of opinion lhat plaintiff has failed to prove his case,” said the Judge. “Such statements that may be considered to be statements of fact 1 find to -be true, and those which may be more properly described as comment I find are fair and reasonable.”

Costs were allowed the defend ant company.
