. The condition of Mr F. Ebbett, of Johnston St., who is as inmate of the Palmerston N. Hospital, is causing grave anxiety. “Ernie” Graham returned home from the Palmerston N. Hospital on Thursday. Ernie is still on crutches, but is making good progress towards recovery.
The friends of Mrs R. Haydock, of Cook Street, will regret to learn that she was admitted to the Palmerston N. Hospital this morning, suffering from a severe illness. A well-known and popular officer of the Bank of New Zealand, Mr. Adam McLennan, manager of the Dunedin branch died yesterday after an illness extending over some months. Mr. McLennan, who was born at Hinds (Canterbury) 55 years ago, entered the service of the Bank of:Ashburton 38 ago. The death occurred at Wellington on Tuesday morning of Mr. W. M. Muir, aged 84 years, who was born in Wellington and lived all his life there. He was employed in his early years on the “Independent” newspaper, and was one time printer of the “New Zeaand Times.” He was a prominent bowler, well-known throughout New Zealand.
