MURDER AND SUICIDE
VERDICT AT INQUEST
Christchurch, June 30.
The circumstances of the tragic happening on Sunday morning last, when Frederick Charles Davis, aged 38 years, murdered his wife Edith May Davis, aged 19, by cutting her throat and afterwards committing suicide, were outlined at the inquest held this afternoon. Evidence was given by Fanny Salter (a sister of Davis), and Vera Wilson (sister of Mrs. Davis), and Dorothy Finnie, which, however, added little to the facts already reported. The Coroner found that Edith May Davis was killed by having her throat cut with a razor by her husband, Frederick Charles Davis, who afterwards committed suicide.
