MEMBERS’ QUESTIONS.
In the House on Thursday Mr. W. S. Glenn (Rangitikei) gave notice to ask the Minister of Pensions (Hon. G. J. Anderson) whether a Bill would be introduced providing lor a universal contributory pension.
Mr. H. Holland (Christchurch North) gave notice to introduce the Religious Education Bill and Mr. H. Atmore (Nelson) gave notice to ask the Prime Miniser whether the card issued in connection with the Bible-in-Schools plebiscite with the approval of the Minister of Education indicated that the Government intended to make the Religious Exercises in Schools Bill a parly measure.
Mr. G. W. Forbes (Hurunui) gave notice to ask the Minister of Finance (Hon. W. Nosworthy) whether he would refer the Rural Credits Commission report to a further committee of the House. Mr. T. Rhodes (Thames) gave notice to ask the Prime Minister if it was intended to fill the position of Assistant Public Service Commissioner and if not why not?
