OBITUARY
MRS. CHARLOTTE GERTRUDE SHAW, AGED 50 YEAR'S.
Vie regret to record the death of Mrs. Charlotte Gertrude Shaw, wife of Mr. Frederick Thomas Shaw, of Ravensworth Place, Foxton, which took place after a brief illness yesterday morning, aged 50 years. The late Mrs. Shaw suffered from a heart .strain about a year ago and has not enjoyed good health since. About ten days ago she had to take to her bed and passed peacefully away as above stated. The late Mis. Shaw was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Williams and was born in Auckland. She was married in Tnrakina and took up her residence in this district about ‘2l years ago. residing at Mont-oa and subsequently at Foxton. During the war period the late Mrs. Shaw took an active interest in patriotic affairs. patriotic affairs, and in the welfare of the Moutoa School, of which her husband was chairman of committee. Mrs. Shaw was esteemed for her kindly acts in cases of distress and her demise will be regretted by all with whom she came into contact. She leaves a husband, live sons (Ronald, Cecil, Gordon,, Guy. of Foxton, and John, of Wellington), and three daughters, (Joyce and Kathleen, of Foxton and Mrs. N. Brookie of Palmerston North), to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother.
The funeral will take place tomorrow. leaving the residence, Ravensworth Place, for t lie Foxton cemetery at 1.30 p.m.
