ENTERTAINMENT.

“A STREAK OF LUCK.”

Buffalo Bill, Jr., one of the greatest stunt performers who ever appeared before a motion picture camera, will be seen at the Town Hall to-night, in “A Streak of Luck,” and it’s an action story that is the real goods. Hair-breadth escapes, bing bang flstic encounters, pitched battles, rough and tumble conflicts, all combine in an exciting mixture that holds a fine thread of heart interest, that makes a fitting contrast for the intensive thrills, the whole summing up in a feature film that grijps without a break from leader to face out. Also “The Tourist” (comedy), N.Z. Topical, and Pathe News. Prices as usual.

The big British success “Madamoiselle from Armentieres” will screen on Monday next. The film is described as a soldier’s story of the War. After all, the War, to the men in the trenches, was essentially a personal adventure, and it is appropriate that for the purpose of entertainment with a quality of reminiscence, the film should be a picture of intimate drama aud comedy of the War, told with convincing realism, rather than an effort to convey the whole panorama of a world upheaval in which truth mustrinevitably be sacrificed to spectacular effect. Prices 1/aiul 2/-. Children half price.
