FOXTON SILVER BAND.
SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING..
A special general meeting of_ members of the Foxton Silver Band was held on Thursday evening, presided over by Mr. Yeo (president). There was a -satisfactory attendance. The object of the meeting was to, call in all property and review the band’s position.
The balance-sheet was read and adopted. It was decided to encourage the enrolment of honorary members and bring the list up-to-date. The following officials were appointed:—Bandmaster protem, Mr. H. Osborne; chairman, Mi 1 . F. G. Yeo; secretary, Mr. A. E. Scott; deputy bandmaster, Mr. Ebbet; sergeant, Mr. B. Walls; corporal, Mr. B. NeWth; treasurer, Mr. H. Osborne; custodian, Mr. D. Brooks; social committee, Messrs Walls, Barnett, and B. Newth; citizens committee, Messrs Yeo, Scott, H. Hornblow and G. F. Smith. The offer of Mr. J. Newth to instruct learners was accepted with thanks.
Accounts amountinv to 10/8 were -passed for payment.
Messrs Scott and J. Newth were unanimously elected members. Votes of thanks were passed to the auditor (Mr. It. Rangiheuea), Knewstubs (late secretary) and H. Osborne (bandmaster). All the band property was accounted for and examined.
