HIGH SCHOOL FOR FOXTON

CABINET APPROVES GRANT FOR ERECTION.

Wellington, Last Night,

Cabinet to-day approved of a grant for the erection of a new secondary department for the Foxton High School. In announcing this decision the Minister of Education (Hon. R. A. Wjright) stated that at the present time the secondary department of the school was housed in various buildings and the intention was to erect a substantial new building. Mr. Wright mentioned also that the question of providing additional accommodation for the primary school at Point Chetalier (Auckland) had been considered, and in view of the increase in population in the district it had been decided to make provision for the erection of three additional rooms, which it was expected would relieve the present congestion.
