ENTERTAINMENTS.

DOUGLAS MACLEAN COMEDY AT CABARET.

Well, if you were alone in the jungles of British East Africa, if the height of your hunting expeditions had been chasing flies in a sand lot, if the only lion you had ever seen was on a can of milk, and you were suddenly confronted by a ferocious, man eating lion, wouldn’t you he a bit scared, Doug wasn’t exactly alone, Walter Hiers was with him, but he was hiding in a basket which, of course was a great help to Doug. And the funniest part of all was, well, why spoil an evening’s entertainment when you can go to the Town Hall theatre and see Douglas Maclean in the Paramount, picture. “Holdthat-Lion” with Walter Hiers, which will keep you in laughter from the moment you enter the theatre until you go home. And even at that you probably will wake up the next morning laughing. Also supporting pictures. Usual Cabaret prices.

On Friday evening “Fig Leaves,” featuring George O’Brien and Olive Borden will head the programme. This is a story based on what has been woman’s eternal cry from Eve in the Garden of Eden, down to the present day “I’ve got nothing to wear.” Lon Chaney s big feature “Tlie Road to Mandalay,” has been booked for Saturday next.
