BOWLING
During the Easter holidays play will be arranged on the local green as the attendance warrants.
One rink, skipped by Thomson, will represent Foxton Club at the Centre tournament, commencing, at Palmerston N. to-morrow.
The Shannon Bowling Club have arranged to tender a farewell social to Mr. J. W. Murray, in the Druids’ Hall on Thursday, 21st inst., at 8 p.m. Mr. Murray is well-known among district bowlers as a “good sport” and enthusiastic follower of the game, and Foxton bowlers, while regretting bis departure, will join with his club associates in wishing himself and family success ins the future. Featherston, .their new place of residence, has a thriving club and very good green, so “Jini” will be able to enjoy his sport as in the past.
