PRIMARY SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIPS.
The various districts schools arc now busy selecting their champion runners of different ages to compete for the Hobson Shield competition at Levin Domain on Saturday. In all there are. 24 events, but as each school is allowed only one entry in each event, priliminarv races are the order of the day.
The champions of each of the following district schools have been entered :—Tokomaru, Waikanae, Levin, Poroutawhno, Oliau, Manakau and Foxton. As the latter school had an overwhelming victory last Saturday in a similar competition for the McKelvie Shield at Sand on, much interest will lie taken in their runners at Levin. Besides the shield for the school gaining most points a medal is presented to each individual champion. Small schools therefore which through lack of numbers cannot enter a full team should not fail to enter any who aspire ✓to district champion honours.
Mr. McDonald, of Levin District High School, will accept further entries.
