ENTERTAINMENTS.

“THE WANING SEX.’

Norma Shearer and Conrad Nagel are the leading players in “The Waning Sex,” at the Town Hall on Friday evening. Which is the waning sex —male or female? Where arc the strong, silent men of yesterday? Arc all the cavemen replaced by cake-eaters and lounge lizards? Is it still a cave man’s world? llow will it all end? Merrily, wittily and fascinatingly this picture tackles the problem. It sparkles with droll whimsicality and re freshing comedy, and also introduces some fine sporting scenes. Supporting pictures arc a comedy and gazette. Usual prices.

There is one star of the screen who has never made a poor picture, and be is Rin Tin Tin, the wonder dog, who will appear on Saturday in “Below the Line,” the story of a snarling, vicious animal who develops into a loyal and courageous friend of the bov who has treated him with kindness. June Marlowe and John Ilarron are the other stars in the film. Bruce Bainsfather’s wonderful war character, “Old Bill,” has been portrayed by Syd. Chaplin in a mannev that stamps the vehicle, “The Better ’Ole,” as a masterpiece of humour, and those who miss the only Foxton screening on Monday next will surely regret it.
