OBITUARY.
MR. F. A. WILLIAMS, AGED 44 YEARS. The death took place at his residence, Union Street Foxton, last evening of Mr. F. A. Williams, after a lengthy illness, at the age of 4-i years. Some months ago deceased suffered a severe heart strain whil** endeavouring to lift some piping from an artesian well and which ultimately had fatal" results. Deceased was horn in Foxton and spent his life in this district. Prior to the destruction of the Shannon bridge he took over the motor mail service between Foxton and Shannon and also conducted a taxi service locally. He was a keen rughv enthusiast and coached the Foxton Club’s fourth grade team. He was a man of unassuming and generous disposition and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. Sin'ccre regret will be felt at his death and the sympathy of the public will be extended to his wife and young family of seven children, five boys and two girls. The funeral will take place to-morrow, leaving his late residence at 1.30 p.m. for All Saints’ Church and thence to the Foxton cemetery.
