The visitors were entertained at a dinner bv the Awaliou Club in the evening where an enjoyable social time was spent. FOXTON THIRDS v. AWAHOU. The Foxton thirds played . a friendly game with Awaliou thirds supplemented by 'several Foxton juniors. Some brilliant individual play was noticeable at times on the part of Foxton, but combination was lacking. The game ended in favour of Foxton. Mr. AY. Neville controlled the game. SHANNON 20 v. HUI MAI G. A return game was played between the above teams at the Shannon Domain on Saturday. Both teams had a number of last year’s juniors in their ranks, all of whom acquitted themselves well. Considering that the players have not struck form the game was fairly fast. Several of last year’s prominent players showed glimpses of their old form. The home team were the superior on the day and secured a comfortable win, their score being made up of six tries, one of which was converted; against a try and a penalty goal registered by Hui Mai. Mr. R. Sands had control of the game. A special general meeting of members of the Foxton Football Club will he held in the Town Hall supper room on Friday evening next at 7.30 o’clock.
