TENNIS.

A committee meeting of the local Tennis Club was held in Ross’ rooms last, evening, those present being Messrs R. MeMurray (president), W. Ross, J. Christie, Mesdames F. C. Hay, H. Hornblow, Miss Perreau and the hon. secretary, Mr. C. Procter. Apologies were received from Mrs. MeMurray, Miss Stevenson, Messrs L. C. Bryant, N. Ross And W. Roach.

It was decided to call a general meeting for next Thursday to arrange matters with regard to the annual ball. The secretary was instructed to take steps immediately to collect outstanding subscriptions. A vote of appreciation was passed to Mrs. Hay and her helpers who made such a success o~f the weekly dances.

It was decided to give the competitors in the fourth round .of the Ladies’ Rose Bowl until Thursday next to complete games. The following games were played last, evening:—Rose Bowl: Miss Thompson (5) defeated Miss Perreau (5) 40 —37; Miss MeMurray (owe 10) defeated Miss A Sywes (rec. 20) 50 —41. Men’s Cup: D. MeMurray (8) defeated L. C. Bryant. (o\ve 10) GO —53. The following are the drawings for the semi-final for the men's cup: R. MeMurray (scr). v. D. McMurrav (8); R. Warwick (8) v. H. Ihie (8).
