AN INTERESTING RETURN.

The following return asked for by dm Director of Education, indicates the necessity for public swimming baths locally Number of pupils in the standard classes of the Foxfcon State School who can swim:— Boys Girls. Standard 1 10 Standard 2 00 Standard 3 1 0 Standard 4 5 o Standard 5 32 Standard C 32 Out of a roll number of 306 in these classes only 22 children can swim. In the Secondary Department, the return reads as follows: — Boys Girls. Junior 4 1 Senior 9 0 That is, out .of a roll number of 38 only 14 pupils can swim.
